just had to read that out to my colleagues
it's hilarious

I always like the stupid lines they put at the end of the news articles on the bbc page

"clearly, any activity involving putting large amounts of food in the mouth is dangerous"

surely
if you had loads of cake stuck in your mouth and throat you would attempt to claw some out with your hands in an effort to clear your airway, thus giving people a better chance of performing a successful Heimlich.
