My toaster won't allow you to push the thingy down if it's not switched on.Aside from any unknown tumours growing invisibly inside me, I am a picture of good health.

It was switched on, and I thought I'd pushed the thingie down.Apparently I didn't push hard enough, or something.
The kettle thing was just fliddism, though. I keep filling the kettle and forgetting to switch it on.
