We've stopped issuing literature
Just give out business cards with USB sticks in them with all of the information on.

They're about 2mm thick
It's more about saving print costs and not having to throw away literature when machines are upgraded/superceded

definitely more cost effective to keep copying stuff to and from usb sticks than run off a couple of photocopies

High-grade literature on heavy stock with spot UV varnish costs a bloody fortune
Also, you can give updates over the net. Easier to store/transport, too.

I think that's more the fault of repulsive salespeople forcing their cards into the hands of clients who clearly aren't interested than of the medium itself
you could write your number on a fag packet and if someone cares about your business enough they'll hang onto it
