And I was paid with something called a "cheque" which I used to take up to a place called a "bank" 'Member banks? Haha different world, isn't it!

Oh boy, yes I too had a job that paid weekly, in cash, in a little envelope with the tax and NI contributions written in biro of all things!!(

I also sometimes got the small envelope, but sometimes it was a normal envelope as the accounts woman was incredibly poor at keeping sufficient amounts of the correct stationery (
