Maybe closer to 20, my geography isn't great.

I've not seen any Squaddies yet, closest to it was the army cadets from the Grammar school. I don't think they'd cause trouble, but it is normally the ones you'd least expect.

Well, I've lived in Guildford
for 25 years and I'm neither a braying middle class twat, nor a squaddie.

Those few of us who are actually locals are perfectly lovely, actually.

Also, the squaddies have moved on, so going out at night there is perfectly safe.

I have moved to Walsall from a shitty little market town and thought how nice it was being able to walk down the street without getting hassled and how nice the people are (salt of the earth and all that bollocks)

Walsall?
Walsall is horrible mate. Full of thieves and scoundrels. The only good thing in Walsall is the Wharf bar on a Monday night. And even then you have to go when there are no students about or you're guaranteed to get someone wanting a fight. Stay away from Pleck and Karma, both of them are knife town.
