My sister, the bionic woman
This is a bit random, but...
Just spoke to my sister this evening. It appears that she has advanced arthritis in her hip, and needs a hip replacement.
She's 35 next month.
What the fuck...?

I had a mate
Who had arthiritis when he was in year 6 - like 10 or so. Sucks. Guess it doesn't only affect old people. Good luck to your sister and all.

Someone close to me (twice your sisters age) had a hip replacement
a few weeks back and they were able to put wieght on it the following day and within seven days were using just one stick. All pretty daunting at first but apparently its the most consistently successful operation - and it was invented in the UK. Hope she ends up ok.

Sorry to hear that DG
Hope everything goes ok for her and that the anticipation is worse than the event.

Arthritis is a major bitch.
I do hope that a hip replacement will ease her pain. Sadly, I know how much even just the early stages of arthritis can be. I feel for you and will have my fingers crossed that all goes well with her replacement.
Your sister is only a year older than me it would appear. My arthritis started when I was 27. It does suck.

Well
she's had hip problems for a number of years, but just soldiered on. It seems it's only just really flared up.
But still, 35???
