Getting CDs made and booklets printed etc.
In the not too distant future, my band will be hitting the recording studio and getting some decent stuff recorded and for sale.

Can anyone recommend a decent service where we can get the CDs made and printed, and covers, booklets etc. made as well?

Cheers

Ask at the studio
for personal recommendations. They're likely to have personal experience of someone local you can work with.

try Abacus in Cumbria
I don't have any details but google should oblige.

edit - sorry - i don't think they press CDs but they'll do a grand job with the inlays etc.

a cunning plan
but the guy who is producing our stuff isn't local, we're bringing in a ringer

so we might have to find other members of staff there who might not know anything. it is in an arts centre after all....

is worth a try though, thanks

Yes!
The people at Key Production (www.keyproduction.co.uk) are absolutely lovely; they're one of the major CD manufacturers in the UK, they do booklets etc, and can get it put into either proper jewel cases, plastic sleeves, or whatever you want.

They're also a carbon neutral company, which is nice.

They do most of the CDs for my labels, and I can heartily recommend them. Gaz me if you want further details.

And when you go to sell them
look up this site: cdbaby.com/

That way some of us around the rest of the world can get a copy.

I work in a printers - we can burn your CD's, print on to them and print the inlays as well. Gaz me if you want contact details, although I suspect I'm too late.

alternatively...
www.short-run.co.uk/packages.htm

and as a shameless plug, check out www.electropuppy.com (which is me :) )

We're not up and running yet but will be soon. We're VERY environmentally friendly and I might even give you a discount for helping me load test.
