It'll take about 4 weeks....then you'll suddenly get about £200, then £120 every 2 weeks, following a "signing session" where you "prove" that you have been looking for jobs - this can be a formality or a right pain in the ass depending on who is overseeing it. I'm off to sign on myself.. should really have done so some time ago. Plus it might motivate me to actually look for a job. Once more into the breach..
I'll probably spend a lot of the money on booze and pot.
