I have a date tomorrow, and I've got this big red thing by the side of my mouth which might not look too good with the lady friend.

Any tips on calming the bleeder down?

You've come to the right place.
Try Sudocrem. It's an antiseptic cream that is used on babies bottoms for nappy rash as well as other things. You can buy little pots of it in all chemists and supermarkets.

I find it indispensable.

Toothpaste is good too.
But Sudocrem is a good all-rounder. If you get really pissed one night and wet the bed then it will soothe your wet crotch.
