Sorry to nick ideas, but I want some b3ta medical advice too...
I'm asthmatic, and flying to America in a couple of weeks. Am I likely to need a doctors note to prove that my inhaler isn't some kind of teeny tiny bomb? I did ask one pharmacist who reckons I won't need anything but terrifyingly, I've grown to trust you lot more than medical proffessionals.

I dunno lad.
You look kinda shifty to me. I'd get a note.

And don't get me started on the USA passport control people. *seethes*

I would
I once got held up for an hour when my inhaler was mistaken for a gun.

Was
that in America? I meen sheesh, loads and loads of people have Asthma these days - you'd think they'd know what an inhaler was.

.
go for a little jog around the airport, or breath in loads of exhaust fumes and be really wheeeezzzzay when you check-in.

They might think the wheezing
is terrorist-speak.

What baffles me is
That a doctor's note will tell them nothing more than the fact that you went to the effort to forge a doctor's note.

All it really does is make naive people feel a little more secure because they think the provider of the airport security is doing something useful and act as another annoyance.

Same can be said for all the security in Heathrow when you can step onto a plane in Africa, destined for Heathrow, without any security checks at all.

The airport security paranoia stinks of being a bit of a nimby policy to me.

/grumpy old git

Not trying to say we shouldn't have airport security - just having a bit of a moan =]

or,
hide the inhaler inside something. Like a replica gun! They will never think of looking inside a fake gun to find an inhaler.

Is it A inhaler, or AN inhaler?

I think it's
An inhaler.

Or an'inaler if your daan saaf like me.
