I just read about
some of teh AIDS research in the Guardian. One of the experts involved is called Dr. De Cock.

Does anyone else find that childishly amusing?
Especially being in Spainland where if you read it in Spanglish it says "Dr. Of Cock"

*guffaws*

well actually....
I went out with a girlie from Zimbabwe whom was also called "de Kock". She was very proud of the name, it traces back to the original Dutch Bohr settlers.

Of course none of my mates took the piss, not one.

"hey bugboy! Do you love de kock?"
"You can't get enough of de kock can you"

what was even a little more odd was, because of her hair, her nickname was "Curly", thus I was the guy who tuRned up at parties with a Curly De Kock on my arm.

(I swear on everything un-holy, this is absolute truth)

Great stuff!
Made me laugh anyway.

Do you still love de cock?

Alas not!
after a rather torrid relationship she decided to return to Harare to grow tobacco.

*remembers the good times*

"GOD, I miss my Curly Kock" I might wail.
