Or maybe that should be Happy Fucking 31st December?

( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:07, 60 replies, latest was 16 years ago)

I'm sincerely apathetic about the whole NYE thing.
But I'm in a fucking good mood today regardless!
How are you?
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:09, Reply)

I'm ok. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxed night at my friend's playing games, drinking cocktails, smoking and eating cakes.
It's also my last week of work next week so I feel like a small child getting excited about the summer holiday.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:13, Reply)

I'm looking for work, but as much as I love this small town, there's fuck all here. If I could find £500 I'd start window cleaning. I'll start digging for treasure.
Are you changing jobs?
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:18, Reply)

as I'm a temp. I said no as they'd fucked me about too much. They've now got someone in to do my job which means I'm out the door.
I'm not going to get worked up about the way they went about things because as easy as this job is it's fucking soul destroying, so I'm happy to be leaving.
I just need to find something to keep me going til March.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:24, Reply)

As long as you promise not to (insert window cleaning based innuendo here)
Nothing else lined up at the moment but I've told my agency and I'm going to see my old boss at the pub I used to work in to see if I can do a few evening shifts there.
Fingers crossed everything works out :)

Bloody animals have got the right idea about this time of year- hibernation. Well, at least I have a party to go to tonight, which is nice. Still wish I was in bed mind.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:45, Reply)

Good luck with the job hunt lusty.
Morning pb!
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:52, Reply)

I know that feeling!
I'm going to have to have a nap before I go out tonight.
Sometimes I'm so rock & roll it hurts.
How are you apart from wishing you were in bed?
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:52, Reply)

A bit annoyed I am still in work though. Could be worse mind, it could be busy.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 8:59, Reply)

Still, I'd rather be getting paid to do nothing than not be getting paid at all.
*is a money grabber*
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:06, Reply)

Still, my bed is incredibly comfortable and it is quite an effort to get out of bed in the morning. Frankly the fact I am even awake surprises me sometimes.

QOTW is my main distraction when it's quiet at work, but QOTW is quiet too, so I've been lurking in /talk quite a bit. I like it.

However, I still don't get the whole antagonism thing. I must be tired.

Harmless muppetry.
Some of them've really got it in for you though piston. What's up with that?
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:21, Reply)

That, and I had a bit of an argument with a fat racist from London (emmathegirl), and One Does Not argue with a girl on the internet apparently, not even when they're being a prat. And not having the best performance record at bashes (i.e. ending up gibbering in a corner stoned/pissed out of my face).
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:28, Reply)

It's an odd place, that's for sure.
You fit in well over here though :)
*warms up tongue*
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:31, Reply)

But thanks for the compliment. Put your tongue away though lad, I'd prefer to be licked down by someone female, fit and is a good conversationalist.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:41, Reply)

You have dream phone!?
Ahhhh good times. I love the tackyness of it all so much.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:43, Reply)

I never got to play it that much though as I have two brothers and they would never play it with me because "it's gay." :(
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 9:51, Reply)

You're a boy and boys are stupid wee wee faces. So there!

I'm feeling quite nostalgic now!

morning all,
I've only just got up. *rubs in*
I will be roundly ignoring tonight's arbitrary date change.
I hate New Year.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 10:08, Reply)

I cannot ignore today's date and feel mildly upset by all those who hate it.
*cries*
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 10:10, Reply)

It has just always served as a reminder that another year has gone by and my life is still shit.

Had my car broken into yesterday. They got fcuk all but did an incredible amount of damage - bent the door, smashed the steering lock and all the other bollocks.
Looks like a write off.

*indulges in birthday snog from Lusty*
Love that pic - I would eat that cake whole, and without blowing the candle out.
Thanks Mrs Bin - tbh, I wouldn't celebrate NY either, really.

Happy 31st Dec! Hope you're all in a suitably festive mood?
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 10:24, Reply)

That sucks big time.
I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago.
What really fucked my off was that it cost me stacks of money and effort to put right and even though they were caught they didn't get done for it.
We heard the windows go through as the car was parked right outside the front door, which goes straight into our living room. Mr Bin ran out side and chased them up the road and got their number plate. But because he didn't see their faces and could ID them it didn't go to court.
I work hard so I can afford nice things and it pisses me off that some lazy piece of shit just wants to take them.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 10:24, Reply)

According to the Met Police, car crime isn't a "crime" anymore. It's okay to have your car keyed but if you're edging over a boxed junction you can expect a £60 fine and three points.
Cunts.
I promise that when I'm running the country anyone caught breaking into cars will have their fingers broken.

Happy Birthday Clendrix ... and anyone else born on Hogmanay.
I'm full of beans this morning .. I've just wakened my 14 year old by dropping the cat on her. She is not impressed. Bad mummy!
How are you lovely people today?

( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 10:56, Reply)

not been here much in December due to Chrimbo shopping, helping my bro move house and then forcing him to redecorate. Which meant I had to help. As it was mostly my idea. Actually, it was all my idea.
Still, I did all the gloss painting for him, and a fair bit of the emulsioning (is that a word?), leaving him mainly to put up the wallpaper. It looks lovely, now.
How are thee? Good, I hope?

Horrible day for a birthday, but my friends are lovely and always make me feel loved :)
Sorry Wee Witch - missed your message up there! Thank you :)

How fare yee?
Today is a lovely day, and we are about to take lady ancrenne for a drive up the coast. And tonight we shall dine, drink and make merry before passing out in an alcohol-fuelled sub coma, before having to get up tomorrow to catch the train to Edinburgh for the day.
Marvellous.

Where abouts on the coast are you going? Anywhere fantastic?
See profile :)

Seahouses is likely to be one of my stopover points - it looks fab!
Might try and camp on Holy Island instead tho :)

Put it all in to soak in steaming hot water for an hour. That'll teach it.
How're you? Rare to see you recently.
( , Wed 31 Dec 2008, 12:59, Reply)

Seahouses is OK but a bit touristy. Lots of fish and chip shops though - nom. Warkworth is nice - we went the other day and saw a seal catching fish in the river, which was ace. And Alnmouth has a nice pub, The Sun Inn (which once belonged to Legless, fact fans).
Off now, see y'all later.

Hey No3l, yeah been working at work so not as much time to get on here all day and then been gallivanting places at the weekends. *is a busy badger*

Meeting chickenlady later (can't wait... Am I sad?) and we're off to celebrate a low key new year with friends.
I'm driving later so I can't crack open the beer :-(

I'd give my right arm for a lady friend right now.
Obviously, that'd make the missionary position somewhat more difficult, but not impossible.
