Although more with general TV and films than porn, I have to say.

They'll need some pretty beefy monitors, otherwise all you're gonna be able to hear is the main house PA slapping back off the rear wall, which will have a pretty big delay on it by the time it gets back to the stage. And that really puts people off their performance*

*In my more evil sound engineering moods, when I haven't slept and bands have severely pissed me off I've put about 0.2s delay on their monitor mix, 100% wet. They get half a line into a verse and then stop and give the monitor really weird looks. Best part is you can get the mix sounding awesome sonically, it just makes the band look like talentless idiots.

Not that I'd condone such unprofessional practises. Ahem.

Back in the days of analogue recorders, for 2 track slow speed voice, the sync (rec head) output was enough, but better still a coord circuit via satellite and a badly nulled hybrid/cleanfeed/mixminus on the desk even before digits a big chunk of a second on bits of you coming back

Oh and in and out films, you get completely nulled to them if exposed to too many if those channels are running through where you work, and you do start thinking, refflector is too close, no shadows and start looking at the sound etc.

Good lighting you never notice, if you notice it, it is crap

It depends on the person as well
I've seen people who I'm recording completely put off by ~2ms delay where there's no direct monitoring option and you have to give them foldback after the A-D-A. Other people aren't bothered at all...
