Yay! I've sussed it.I was putting the number at the end and not the number after php.
I is not stoooopid.
I'll not bother using it though.

Ok, step by step.www.b3ta.com/questions/write.php?parent=386847
ok. Now make a note of the number of the post you want to reply to. If you hover over the "I like this" button with your cursor you will be able to see the post number in the status bar at the bottom.
Now pate the link you have into your browser and replace the last set of numbers with the post number you have noted. Hit enter.
A relpy screen will come up, reply. Hit post.
