Doesn't this only happen in sit-coms ?
Am staying at ex's looking after youngest daughter. Have not stayed at ex's before - normally daughter stays at mine. Ex away for 2 nights, comes back in 30 minutes.

Hamster dead.

On my "watch".

Fark.

Oh they die all the time
put it back in its cage and deny all knowledge...

*has never done this while pet sitting*

Sounds like a plan
deny all knowledge.
Unless it has died from an over attentive cat, in which case it might be harder to ignore.

Yes but...
...remove any cellotape first.

Hampsters die all the time
The kid won't notice for ages, then it'll be way out of your hands.

Have a look around
Can you find some cotton, blue tack, two small pendulum clocks, a rudimentary lathe, a couple of rubber bands and a tiny gramaphone of mouse noises?

No?

You're probably screwed then: Deny all knowledge.
