and it was a bit disjointed, and not very funny, but I really enjoyed it.
I can understand why people wouldn't, though.

the execution of it was good enough, but it is never a good idea to try and relate your fictional characters to the real world, even if they explain it away in the end.
that said, it was good to see the characters again, and it looks to me like they might make another series which could only be better than that 3 parter.
also, the other hologram was pretty hot

but the ending was open. Like I said, it was disjointed and not their finest hour, but I was pleasantly suprised, cos I thought there was a big chance it'd ruin Red Dwarf forever for me.

Largely due to the effect of "being in the pub" in various locations. Having loved Red Dwarf all the way up until the middle of Series 7 and having felt dreadfully let down by Series 8, but still wanting to know what happens...is it worth trying to track down a repeat?

But yeah, I'd give it a shot. Don't have any expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised :)

I was sat shaking my head as I watched it, going "Why have they done this?" but the ending kind of saved it, and I think I did actually enjoy it.
bit with the two kids was pretty fucking gay though.

was mostly toss. Far too much 'meta'. The real world/John Lewis/Corrie bit was painful.
The scene with 'the creator' was sooo painful. Deeply unoriginal.
What was with all the bladerunner ripoffs. Not just subtle references, actual full on entire copies of scenes. I laughed twice in the entire 3 eps.
The other hologram was "Big Suze" off of Peep Show I think. Lovely.

I thought it was going to be better as "Dave" had clearly given them a reasonable amount of money to spend.
I thought the plot was fucking apalling and as said here the real world link was just plain lazy. Last Action Hero anyone?

Was away, and don't have Dave anyway.
Think I'm quite pleased about that.
