It's Friday and I have the afternoon off!
At least I think I do. We've changed to a SAP system for leave requests and the new system doesn't automatically notify you when it's approved.

The old system was just emailing my annual leave document to my boss with a new line for the desired leave, he'd then email it to the time administrator with the word APPROVED in the email, and cc me on the email.

Low tech but actually more helpful to me - now I'm going to have to find time to go rummage around in the time management system until I find the bit where it tells me whether the leave is approved or not.

How has high tech (or an "improvement") made your life worse lately?

SAP systems - guaranteed to crash when you need it most (or at the very least, fuck up), so your request most likely didn't work.


Actually, that's not true - I just hate the stuff with a passion ususally displayed by the BNP
