I have a request!

Can anyone please help me in finding a decent video editing software. The key thing is that it needs to be able to deal with mp4 files, as well as your standard avi & mpeg, etc.

Any help will be much appreciated!

EDIT: Does not have to be freeware.

I use VirtualDub, which does everything I need - admittedly that's just clipping my team's highlights out of Match of the Day, though.

Depends what you mean by 'editing'
Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas or Avid will all do what you want, but depending on what you're trying to do they will almost certainly be overkill!

Also to stop using stupid file formats.

He's going to 'invest' in Adobe Premiere, and IMTOO converter for the mp4 files.
