I was chatting about the chickens that I had hatching out in my office a couple of weeks back, thought I'd post an update on 'em, they're growing nicely now:

So are the baby chickens.
A friend at woerk gives me eggs from her hens, and when one gets too old and she doesn't want it the occasional bird - so very tasty. I envy you as I'd love to have the space to keep them myself.

that we should get an Eglu for our own tiny little stretch of 'garden.' (Some soil with plants sticking out of it and my compost heap)
She's still opposed to the idea - particularly since the poor chickens would probably be kept awake all night by the constant drone of the New Kent Road.
We have, however, convinced that her that the best way to get rid of the mice is to introduce predators and start climbing a food chain which culminates in us purchasing a Javan rhinoceros to keep in the house to deter the inevitable surfeit of tigers.
Your chickens are gorgeous.

You have baby chicks at your office.
Hmmmm....
Are you my kids' teacher?
'Cause that would be a little scary.
