And a very happy POETS day to you today.
Today is also the 28th birthday of the (somewhat delectable) Zara Phillips.

How goes it in the Southern hemisphere?
Btw, I meant to ask (not knowing where in Oz you are) have you ever seen the aurora australis?

I saw them once when I went up to see my gf. Bloody amazing, but haven't seen them again recently.

I saw them in Northern Canada (74degs north), Greenland, Iceland and Svalbard - all places I'd expect to see 'em!

BECOMING it, however, is very, very wrong.

it's presumably a Dungeons and Dragons type thing?

Highly addictive. I met my girlfriend through it and some very good friends. I've stopped for the most part, but occasionally drop in to play. It's good fun, but people just let it take over their life, as with anything else that's fun to do.

so WoW would be like heroincrackcake to me.

I've watched it destroy long term reletionships and marriages, and not just through the gameplay - the social element leads to all sorts of trouble. It really needs a lockout feature.

I used to work for her Daddy?
Thought she was a bit stuck up until we were in Pau a few years back, she cocked up and took a nasty tumble into the water... On her way back she was accosted by some young girls asking her for her signature...
She was, at that point, fuming. She'd screwed up, her fault, her Dad had given her a bollocking, she knew her muddy face was going to be plastered across all the papers the following day, she'd failed her horse, her father, herself...
And she composed her features and signed their stuff. Nicely.
Didn't particularly like her, but fair play to her, she seemed ok.
