Still makes me laugh
when people go "What the fuck does W T F mean?"
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 13:52, 32 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
What the fuck
DOES it mean though?
I've always been too scared to ask.

doesn't it?
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:02, Reply)
Hehe, not heard that one
My Dad still thinks "lol" means "Lots of love"

Makes the most mediocre texts slightly disturbing, eg "You've left your keys at home and we're going out in a bit, lol", or "Can you look after the cat, he's a bit poorly, lol"

(Some of this may be borrowed from a Real Comedian. The first bit's true though.)
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 13:56, Reply)
My mother also
although she's not done it for a while, in fairness. Maybe she's learnt the correct definition......or maybe she JUST DOESN'T LOVE ME ANY MORE......

(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:03, Reply)
I had to google
them both. :(
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:05, Reply)
You clearly don't frequent enough forums
full of ill-informed, opinionated pricks then.

There has been a disturbing increase in IANAS too.
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:07, Reply)
not a
sailor?
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:08, Reply)
I would approve of that.
I'm not a sailor, but surely any fool knows how to work a sextant?

It's scientist. Really? You're not a scientist? The utter fucking nonsense you're producing would never have lead me to conclude that. I mean, you never hear "Well, I'm not a mathematician, but it seems to me that 3 and 4 should equal 11" do you? Because that's about how much sense you're making.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand relax.

(is a compsci scientist ;)
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 14:45, Reply)
A computer science scientist, eh?
How rare.

/removes pedantry cloak
(, Tue 19 May 2009, 15:03, Reply)
I find it necessary
to be redundant with the 2nd use of scientist just to hammer the message home.
