Morning, all.
I'm happy to say that Josephine seems to be recovering nicely. She's been eating and drinking, and is sleeping a lot. I'm pretty sure she was trapped somewhere for all that time.

I've been singing "Smelly Cat" to her all morning. (If you don't get the reference, here's a de-ris.)

She may reek, but she's still my kitty.

She may be smelly
but at least she's home.

Congratulations on getting her back!

Glad to hear it
I take it she likes the tasty foods :)

She ate it
but was very confused by it- she's really a dry food kinda girl, as that's all I've ever fed her. Meanwhile I've been keeping her indoors and letting her sleep in my chair.

My daughter says that it's a testament to how much I love that cat that I let her be in the house, let alone snuggled with her.

Considering how much she reeks, eventually a bath will be in order
If you do bath her... film it, won't you?

If for nothing
but pure comedy value

This gives me the oppertunity to roll out this old one.
Toilet cleaning guide.

1) Open your toilet

2) Put on armoured gloves

3) Pick up your cat and give it a stroke to keep it calm. Be gentle.

4) This will need to be done at speed. Approach the toilet, and very quickly drop in the cat (this may take come practice). As the cat falls, close the lid and sit on it.

5) Flush. The self agitating motion of the cat inside the toilet will ensure a thorough clean. A full grown cat will be too large to be flushed away. Do not use kittens, unless you are aiming for a deep drain clean.

6) With one hand keeping the lid down, step as far behind the toilet as possible. Open the lid to eject the cat. DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF THE TOILET.

7) Enjoy your fresh porcelein

Probably not.
I'll probably trim the clagnuts out of her fur. Much less stressful for all.
