I am going to the docs for a full medical
this afternoon, including a pap smear. Why, oh why do I feel compelled to wear makeup and do my hair because someone's gonna be fiddling with my nether regions?

That is impressive.
I've never had a pap smear - mum thinks my doc is going to make me have one soon cos I'm getting near 18 (and of course I'm getting so much action* that I really immediately need one). I'm finding it a little daunting - even though I know every woman needs one.

It does seem odd.
Have you considered a light trim, maybe a bit of blusher and some eye-liner "down below"..?
