I used to visit it oftenwhen I had to go on trips to the Rutherford Appleton Lab. Their residence, Cosener's House, is in Abingdon, right down on the banks of the Thames.
One of my favourite Indian restaurants is there too, the Dil Raj.

Fantastic places that oneLovely food. Not sure if it's open any more though.
Used to go past RAL on the bus to get to work in Didcot... it was interesting watching the Diamond being built. Now I want to see inside it, but they're not doing tours yet.

AgreedThe food was great.
I haven't been there for a couple of years, so I've no idea if it's still there.
Diamond is impressive. I've seen it close up now, but haven't yet been inside.
