The accent does make me homesick. My one has been repressed by years of southern-softy living but flares back up whenever I phone my folks. The first time my flatmate walked in on me spikkin' teuchter she thought I had been possessed.

My mum, my big sister and my gran all talk like that, but mine never appeared. Something to do with being posted to germany till i was three i think. Gotta be home a couple of weeks beforethe teuchter starts to re-appear..

Technically nae a teuchter at all
as I'm from Aberdeen originally, but my Dad is and I seem to have picked up my accent from him. My accent snaps back straight away- I think it's a defence mechanism to stop me being slagged off by friends and family!
