And my Mum made her ace mince and tatties and used the leftovers to make stovies. Stovies = win.
Also had a cracking haggis supper from the chipper. Grrr, I'm hungry now. And scared by that man's uber-ginger beard

The accent does make me homesick. My one has been repressed by years of southern-softy living but flares back up whenever I phone my folks. The first time my flatmate walked in on me spikkin' teuchter she thought I had been possessed.

as I'm from Aberdeen originally, but my Dad is and I seem to have picked up my accent from him. My accent snaps back straight away- I think it's a defence mechanism to stop me being slagged off by friends and family!

Before I start a placement in a couple of weeks. And for the second time in a row visiting home, I am ill. Joys. My fault this time though.

I went out biking yesterday, and took my water pack. The hose hadn't been cleaned properly, had black bits inside, and I think some went in me. On the mend now though.

You know power station cooling towers? Always makes me think of home.
I work by Didcot power station. I have always been able to see it from where I live. When I'm coming come from trips, it's one of the first things I see. It's ugly as hell = but I see it, I know I'm near home. That, or I have some weird concrete tube fetish.

I've been listening to my music all day after importing it from the external to the new PC and some of the stuff on there gives me the biggest year abroad nostalgiagasm (even songs I hated at the time!).
/unrelated flatmate has just discovered he's trading Pokémon under his Platinum username and not his DS username. So, if you're trading with Mr. Pimp you know who it is :)

To Rikki Fulton (the Rev I M Jolly in particular) or Chewin' the Fat tends to have me in hysterics.
I'm relatively lucky in that I get home every six weeks or so and lots of my friends are still there; I'm a self-confessed teuchter!
