Has anyone else pre-ordered the new Eels album from their website? It says it's not released until tommorow, but a friend had an attempted delivery on Saturday of the goods which he missed.
Does anyone know when I can expect my shiny new copy to land on my desk?

Right here.
Also, let me know how it is, I like the Eels.

but it does always feel awkward just saying it without a 'the', if you knwo what I mean.

One thing I don't know is (the) Arcade Fire. I just neglect the definite article, but on their EP, it's THE Arcade Fire.
I think minus the article is better.
Why are there no bands with an indefinite article? Oh. A Fire Inside. That's the only one I can think of.

but it doesn't sound as good, so they probably remained in obscurity whilst their more definite rivals surged ahead. There was a big popularity boom in bands starting with 'the' this decade, but it'll probably change and weird avant garde names will become de rigeur once again.

I first saw the name of Menomena and thought "What a load of shit" but they're actually ACE. Love them.
Still think Rocket Baby Dolls is a great name for a band. If anyone knows which band started out like that I will give you a cookie.

...but it could be The Ramones. Sounds about right.

Completely wrong genre/era, as well. It's named after a Japanese porn film the founding members were watching. They had another daft name, can't remember it, though.
