There is something
of a point in that answer, even if it is chippily expressed.

Is there?
Lots of "working class" people attend festivals as well i'm sure. Just because you can afford the ticket doesn't mean you're middle class.

yes but there's an awful lot of middle class people at every festival I've been to.

omg
people-with-disposable-income-at-popular-entertainment-event shocker!!!
it's not the comments about the people who go that trouble me, but that their reason is not to enjoy the event itself, but as a status symbol

I go to pick up chicks

I come for the chicks, but I stay for the dicks.

I just meant
that there are plenty of Rahs and Hooray Henries who act as the poster described.

there might be a point
but it's a bollocks one. I have the means to go spend that sort of money on something, and I'll enjoy it, so I'll do it.

Not every decision should be weighed against what some poor buggers could be doing with the money.

I don't have to own my own house, I could do something more worthwhile and beneficial to others with the mortgage payments, but fucked if I'm going to.

Wasn't suggesting anything
other than there are many annoying Henries and Henriettas there. Not up to me how they spend their money, and I may even be a little jealous.

Hanged if I'm not allowed to be angry about it though.

I do dislike those sorts
I live in Exeter, and almost every student at the uni here is one of them. fuckers with their 5 cars per household preventing me from parking near my house.

Torn between
hatred, and envy.

Makes me hate them more. They've done nothing wrong per se, but I can't stand being in their company. Suppose that makes me a bastard too, really.
(, Fri 5 Jun 2009, 14:31, Reply)
less of the envy really
I could be a tosser if I wanted to :-)
I like my collars folded down the way they should be.

seemingly irrational hatred and anger are what gets me through my day, and helps me be the happy, positive chap that I am

Envy of the money
And the Henrietteas with their horse-riding skills etc.

It is a diet of steady and consistent hate that allows me to function, otherwise I'd blow up like Ned Flanders. I enjoy being unreasonably judgemental, what can I say?
(, Fri 5 Jun 2009, 14:41, Reply)
I'll drink to that
:-)
