If the weather is nice....
You could rent out a projector/screen, some bean bags, some chinese-lanterns, a thai cheif from a local resturant.... and do like an outdoors movie night, in the garden.

Could even do popcorn with thai-like spices and put them in cinima-style bags.

Or if your budget extends to it, you could rent some convertable cars and do the same thing, but sitting in the cars, like a drive-through movie.

that's a really nice idea.
I was thinking champagne picnic in the park, but I could beg the use of someone's garden (I only have a front yard).

If you can get the power, do the whole thing in the park, that would be so awesome.
Although getting the portable kitchen would be a bit expensive. I suppose you could always get them to cook it in their resturant and then reheat it on a BBQ.

I reckon you could quite easerly get the chef for about £30 for an hour, plus ingredients.
