I have been listening to the rain bucket down all day long
and it is winter and I'm wrapped up snuggly warm with my duvet. Our tanks are overflowing (which is EXCELLENT) and we have enough water to get us through all winter and spring.
I have chocolate and a fuzzy orange moggy trying to shred my arm for his share.

how has your day been made so far??

Another week begins at work. I'm about three hours work away from finishing the charity web site, which is great as it'll be the first proper bit of 'presence' meaning I've got something to show people instead of the little speech I do.

awesome!
that'll be acecakes.
what are you using to create your website - dreamweaver or something?
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 7:55, Reply)
Notepad++
I write html by hand. I was one of the original webheads, you know? I hadn't written any html for about seven years... it's been fun getting back into it.

wow. that's cool
you and my dad would get on like a house on fire then. He worked for IBM for 25 years or something crazy like that. He can fix just about anything.:P

Coded?
Sounds excellent - been a long time since I've done any HTML, but I always prefer to write it by code as well. Makes for a much cleaner site.

Congrats on getting it up!

Fnarr!
I prefer it for smaller sites, but anything bigger than twenty or thirty pages or lots of dynamic content deserves software with a bit more 'management' involved.

I'll post here when it's all up and running.

I started with the internet in 1994, fifteen years ago. Yikes!
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 8:25, Reply)
I was 2 years old.
feel even older? :p
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 8:29, Reply)
I was still in primary school
Finger paints and eating playdough were, at that point, more attractive than the internet.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 8:32, Reply)
Nah
I've been feeling quite spritely recently. And I'm happily aware that I'm almost twice your age. I'm also twice as awesome :)

Helloo!
My day has been made by me filling my car up with fuel, entering the garage, and finding that I'd left my purse in the fella's rucsac when we were out over the weekend. The fella lives in London. I do not.

But thankfully I live across the road from the garage and they were very nice about it. I have an IOU in my bag in place of my purse.

It's always raining here, you can borrow some of ours if you like!

I wish I could.
but it's nice here! the garden's flooded well proper (not kidding - the ground has at least an inch or two of water over the top of the earth).

Fukn Awesome!
All of the win! I woke up! I can stop being a miserable cunt now.
