Heard nothing save a song or two since Artist in the Ambulance,
which should I get first: Vheissu or Alchemy Index?
(, Wed 10 Jun 2009, 15:39, Reply)
Both...
Vheissu is a great Album, but the Alchemy Index is their Magnum Opus. It truly is fantastic.

they sound like a band I should listen to from reading a description
who would you liken them to?
(, Wed 10 Jun 2009, 15:49, Reply)
That's hard to answer, because they have changed so much...
Think: A bit punk, a bit screamo, a bit metal. Excellent songwriting and (latterly) mind-blowing musical arrangements. I really do recommend that you try the following, in order:

The Artist in the Ambulance
Vheissu
The Alchemy Index (Volumes I, II, III and IV)

EDIT: Spotify has them all, you can try before you buy! :D

Coming from someone who only heard their first 3 albums,
Artist...is the most radio friendly (for wont of a better phrase) but a good all round mix, whereas I prefer The Illusion of Safety. A little heavier I seem to remember.

Hehe
I was listening to SOAD - This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song, this morning while racing into work and a woman was staring at me like I was insane when we both stopped at a crossing. Hehe
