there's some pretty decent woodland up here.

There are a few 'secret' MOD arms stores around as well (2 that I know of)

I think the IRA used Macclesfield Forest to stash stuff back in the earlry 80s

I also know (as a friend is involved in this) on a 'peace keeping mission' which is/was an elaborate ruse to secure and recover a large amount of weapons-grade readioactive material from a small, unstable nation.

It's in them thar hills!
One of the great things about living in the countryside when I was a nipper was the virtually unlimited freedom to do what we want and pretty go wherever we want. Consequently we spent hours exploring the hills, woods etc. This is were we found the bunker, confirmed as an arms dump (and still in use as far as I know)
