I'm going to clean my entire flat this weekend.
Flatmate has decided to go and see his family for the weekend so I want to tart the place up a bit...

Tarting the place up
Does that involve putting heavy make-up on the furniture and dressing the table/chair legs in sexy lingerie?

Not initially

Didn't Victorian types cover furniture legs

Yup.
Ankles were as rude as spread mimsy.

But they rubbed beeswax onto furniture

True
You have to pick your moment otherwise people just get in the way - Or even worse: Interfere!

Spakka, You've no idea how bad it is. I've got a collection of old tooth brushes which I use to clean the grouting on the tiles and the tap spouts.
