Other than a correlation between shite size, arsehole diameter and therefore animal size. But I don't think cats can reason at that level.

Ok...
When a cat takes a crap, there's a certain amount of "scent" in it.
The more scent there is, the bigger the cat is perceived to be.
Lion shit has a recognisable scent to a cat, due to the relatedness.
But it's about 500x stronger.
