I browsed through a copy of it when a mate was reading it on holiday
It raised a few good points, particualrly about interview technique.

I've worked in the creative industries until quite recently and all the work I've got has been through word of mouth, favours and making myself available, I suspect the same isn't true of other lines of work.

Good stuff
It's a pretty mad book, especially the 'In God we Trust' approach to finding your vocation. I think sending a 'Thank you' letter after interview is a good idea though, esp. if you go through a recruitment agency as then there's direct contact between you and the employer.

If someone sent me a thankyou letter after an interview
I would think it was very creepy.

If you think that's weird
the dude who wrote 'parachute' suggests writing a thank you to everyone you meet on the day, including the receptionist.
