Job hunting
'noon all.

What's the best site to look for a new job? There's dozens of the bloody things.

Has anyone got any recommendations on what to use or not use?

(I work as a Sales Manager, if that makes any difference)

Ta in advance

For what it's worth
Monster seems ok, as does fish for jobs, but at the end of the day most of the sites seemed to function roughly the same. My advice is get a word file, or whatever and note down the usernames and passports for each site you use and use it as a checklist, checking off each day or every other day the websites.

I suggest
Employ_medotcom

Don't be put off by its crap name, I found it surprisingly useful.

Sorry, one of these days I'll stop being immature, but it's been a long day and I could do with a cheap giggle.

and an exclamation mark in the url

How do you un-purple it?
And make it go blue in the end, like my cock?

you have to put a vibrating egg up your arse
and stab the url with a stiletto heel until you cum and the bloodjizz looks like rasberry ripple, like your cock.

also:
Jobserve.co.UK
Totaljobs.com
Exec-appointments.com

I've got gigs through all three in the past; the key in the current market seems to be tenacity with the agent and get them to give you specific dates and times when they'll have an answer: put the fcukers on the spot for once!

I've only ever done one job that I applied for through conventional routes
and I found it from the website of the place itself.

Oh really?
Are you an avid reader of 'What color is your parachute'?

I browsed through a copy of it when a mate was reading it on holiday
It raised a few good points, particualrly about interview technique.

I've worked in the creative industries until quite recently and all the work I've got has been through word of mouth, favours and making myself available, I suspect the same isn't true of other lines of work.

Good stuff
It's a pretty mad book, especially the 'In God we Trust' approach to finding your vocation. I think sending a 'Thank you' letter after interview is a good idea though, esp. if you go through a recruitment agency as then there's direct contact between you and the employer.

If someone sent me a thankyou letter after an interview
I would think it was very creepy.

^ This
I won't even ask for feedback.

If you think that's weird
the dude who wrote 'parachute' suggests writing a thank you to everyone you meet on the day, including the receptionist.
