Following on from Kaols question in the last newsletter, I can definatly confirm that you can indeed fry bacon by laminating it. We had tried this previously at work, but felt that as someone was asking we should test it better. For best results use a laminator that's been turned up to 400C (as high as ours will go), very thin bacon and a very slow speed. It will not go crispy either, but we're pretty sure it is cooked.
Now the question: How do you get bacon that has been squashed very, very flat off the plastic is has now been melted to?

NEWSLETTER.
Oh yeah!
Sorry, didn't reply to your gaz, it got lost in the stupid number of requests for Info Packs!

I've had 54 gazzed requests for info packs.
I wish I was joking :(

Can I have an infopack? Curious now!
No worries about the gaz - we just decided to do it a bit better rather than the one haphazard attempt we did previously.

I'll just send it over.
Also, could you run the bacon through wrapped in foil?

We have to give the plastic something to stick to (running without plastic is a big no no) so we had a large piece of paper backing it. A small amount of foil over the top might work, I'll see what can be done. My worry would be the plastic not sticking to the foil, an issue we've had in the past with foil blocked books, and tearing, causing the machine to feck up.

This made me sad, it was a waste of good bacon.

It's kinda what a laminator is designed to do... melt plastic on to things. Clue is in the name.

i remember someone cooking a rustlers burger in the micro without taking it out the plastic
