Hey there, Spazzmodude!
i've been sweating like a cornered paedophile all day...
how about you?
fancy a bacardi and coke?
;-)

Greetz B Soixante Neuf
A b&c would do me just fine. Especially with ice. In fact, anything with ice would suit me.

At work, I sit in a 'bay' of desks, and all the desks on the outer side of the bay have computers that are blasting their blasted heat in my direction.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:35, Reply)
b and c on it's way, lots of ice.
sorry, lime instead of lemon...

i too have been indoors today, fitting a bathroom with a window that doesn't open...the 8th circle of hell...

imagine being a sheep in this weather...
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:40, Reply)
As long as there's ice, I don't care about the fruit.
Was that a window you tried to fit, or just a window not part of what you were fitting?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:45, Reply)
window not within my remit...
or it would have found itself being relocated to the skip!!
i was re-fitting units that had been mis-fitted, hot and sweaty work at the best of times.
but on the plus side we saw a fantastic electric storm on the journey home.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:52, Reply)
.
It seems all the Northerners are getting lucky with their electric storms. London looks like it's going to have to wait for a temperature drop.

Sheffield's hotter than Satan's sweaty ball sack
It has not been a pleasant day

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:37, Reply)
how's it going?

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:40, Reply)
Not too bad
apart from the heat. As I said a few posts up, my company has turned my area of the open-plan office into a blast-furnace by sending the heat from the PCs' fans blowing in my direction. We do have air-conditioning, but it's only at the other end of the room.

How's yourself?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:43, Reply)
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not sure if I'd rather be hot or cold. It's usually sub zero in my office year round.
Not a fan.

I would like to get drunk, gonna text the bff to see if she'd fancy some time at the bar tonight.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:46, Reply)
At least if it's cold
you can warm yourself up with your PC.

Alas, I won't be getting drunk for another 2 evenings.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:55, Reply)
Its nearly 30 degress here in england

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:57, Reply)

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:18, Reply)

inside it's usually half that, year round
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:18, Reply)
how do you not melt?

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:22, Reply)
they keep it around 15 at work
I tend to get colds a lot during summer from going in and out at work.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:27, Reply)
.
I think air-conditioning would be more efficient if they had a separate chill-room for people who had just come in from the outside.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:32, Reply)
hya Kristine...
how's it hanging?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:43, Reply)

Getting twatted on Baileys, watching Futurama and having lots of sexy tiem French and Italian with a Compulsory Year Abroad.

Most of my Italian
consists of swearwords. I learnt most of them on the school-bus, but only found it useful many years later when an Italian guy I used to sit next to at work would show he could do with some help when he quietly cursed his computer.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:08, Reply)
Most of mine does these days. I just don't use it.
I write and hear French all day at work with the odd bit of Italian thrown in - and have to send letters on from people who think we're the Italian Eurostar - but that's it.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:15, Reply)
Just reply as follows:
Que cazzo! Nous sommes l'Eurostar Franglaise.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:17, Reply)
Et belge! N'oubliez pas les Belges, ils n'aiment pas ça.

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:28, Reply)
speaking of belgians...
and bearing in mind that the french treat them like the english treat the irish, and i heard this from a belgian...

why do french men wear yellow ties?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:35, Reply)
Not sure really, I've never heard that personally.
I'm more concerned with why French women don't shave their underarms.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:36, Reply)
to match their teeth!!!
LOL makes up for some of the anti-belgian jokes i've heard over the years.
did you know there are 3 main types of fondue?
1) fondue bourgignonne - meat and veggies cooked in hot oil.
2)fondue suisse - bread and suchlike dipped in melted cheese and kirschwasser
3) fondue belge - frites dipped in mashed potato...
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:40, Reply)

*skids in late*
Woo yay! Air con at work is excellent, however flat is not air conditioned and full of spiders which flatmate is not here to kill.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 19:57, Reply)
Im working longer hours because the lab has air con

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:02, Reply)
I work 10-6 but want to ask my boss if I can go back to 9-5
since we're no longer backlogged and it's worth sacrificing a lie-in to have an extra hour at home in the evening...
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:05, Reply)
I was at work from 9-6 today

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:07, Reply)
I used to do that when we were backlogged.
Since we were getting this much post - photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs082.snc1/4880_562306503941_284001300_3694154_7344999_n.jpg - I needed to!

Evening Mallie
If you skid around long enough, you'll eventually squash all the spiders.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:02, Reply)
But that involves touching them :(
They might eat my face! Spiders give me Teh Fear...
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:04, Reply)
evening Mal!
wasn't being rude, just kinda missed you there...

spiders? get the vacuum cleaner at 'em...
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:07, Reply)
I'm tempted to since flatmate is not here to kill them for me (although he takes some persuading).
Especially the ones that are too high for me to cunt in the fuck. Whisk them all up and dispose of them that way.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:14, Reply)
Sounds like you need
one of these.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 21:06, Reply)
The thing I hate the most about spiders
is that they don't provide air-conditioning. If they did, I wouldn't mind having my flat crawling with tarantulas right now.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:07, Reply)
mm spider air

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 20:11, Reply)
I think I'd rather swelter!
