Dogs should only be characters in late 80's cop films.

Old Yeller ftw
Greyfriars Bobby comes a close second place.
I cry like a girl every time I watch either of these. I'm a sucker for Lassie too - and Black Beauty.
And I've just admitted that on the internet...

*reads Kaol's & SLVA's posts*
*runs away crying*

You remember the movie Old Yeller?
You remember when they shot him in the end? I didn't cry! Now come on!.

I cry buckets every time,
then sing the theme music for weeks afterwards, welling up when "best dog gone dog in the west" goes through my head.

You seen the Plague Dogs?
80s animation? *weeps*

I saw the animated film of Watership Down, which was a travesty of the book.
I read The Plague Dogs and cried throughout for Rowf and Snitter. Didn't know there'd been a film version. If that's your cup of tea, you might like to read Shardik (also by Richard Adams) who is a bear.
