I distrust politicians
They lied to us over a war which has cost 100,000 lives to date. They lie daily over statistics, spending and spend our money like rockstars.

The fact that "climate change" is used to justify liberating £50bn a year in tax from us rankles me hugely, when less than 2% of that revenue is used for renewable energy programmes. We do have an urgent need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, yet instead of legislation we have taxation.

Go figure.

I agree with you a lot on this
The government do seem intent on getting as much money out of us as possible, particularly using the green bandwagon. If they could put it back in to renewables, it would be great, particularly research. I don't mind my country being covered with windmills if it means they can close the bloody great power station I spend my day looking at (never mind that wind power isn't that great. Tidal is much better). We are going to run out of ALL resources eventually, so the more research in to renewables and recycling what we already have, the better.
