how about an "extra special" Mojito?

If by extra special
you mean more alcohol then bring em on!

Ahhhh, now we're talking!
I'll see you on the other side of an alcohol induced coma :D. How's life treating ya anyways?

not bad at all, fella...
Gronzo and i got the unit cleared so now i have proper motorbike workshop space, back to biking this weekend after a 5 year (penalty induced) lay-off.
been down there this evening, making an aluminium bracket for the rear-hugger. really enjoyed myself tinkering away. the fact that we've cleared so much space (loads of stuff into a skip!) and sorted out shelving and proper lighting really makes a difference.
now it's clear of rubbish we can actually get at everything! and the place is now mahoosive! 11m long x 7.5m wide x 4.8m high! and all that for £115pcm. and it's a genuine "underneath the arches" subterranean place with a big heavy metal door. a bit like something out of "Saw"...

Ahhh
Sounds cool! Looking forward to getting back to biking I take it? The amount of work you've done on that thing, should be perfect by now! I always like the creepy vibe that emptyish industrial units give off. I remember one place I worked was perfect for that. Especialy in autumn when the fog set in and the nights got longer. It was like something out of silent hill.

aww man, looking forward to it like you wouldn't believe!
5 years ago, whilst i wuz getting divorced, i was a bit of a naughty boy...
i had gone 17yrs without so much as a parking ticket (passed my test 2 months after my 17th birthday, after only 6 lessons, i'm 40 in september).
and then i got divorced... a long and expensive and traumatic experience.
and i got a wee bit carried away...on 2 occasions (1st time:average of 113.29mph over 3.8miles. 2nd time average of 116.55mph over 4.1miles)...on the bike...and got collared...and on the 2nd occasion my insurance had lapsed by 2 days...
i went to court and threw myself on the mercy of the magistrates. total of 17 points and £650 fine. and legal costs of £550. if it wasn't for the fact that my new partner was unemployed and was dependant on me then i would have got a 2 year ban. as it was the insurance on the bike went up from £210 fully comp to £1760 third party. which is why the bike has been off the road for 5 years! now that some of the points have gone it's come down to £280 fully comp.
saturday here we come!
and yes, i have truley learned my lesson!!!!

Ahh, well in some ways I guess it's lucky
that you got caught and fined as opposed to crashing. Much safer way to learn your lesson so to speak. Still, 5 years off the road must have been damn nasty! Especialy as I'm guessing you must have had to rely on public transport to get around. God knows public transport is making me think about getting a licence

aah no achly...
i had to choose between insuring the bike or the van (which i need for work, i'm a self-employed plumber). the van insurance went up to nearly £1500...that was the price i had to pay for not getting a ban!
and yeah, the realisation i had afterwards about the possibility of crashing gave me fucking nightmares. quite rightly so!
and now i have responsibilities i didn't used to have, so i behave myself properly...can't be a good parent if i'm a squished on!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:05, Reply)
well at least you had the van
Though I guess it's for work so it's different. And yes, good that you didn't get squished by a juggernaut or whatever! And yeah I guess responsibilities do rather change your outlook on life. Anyway, I've got to get to bed nowish, Need some sleep for this week :D
