Ooooooooooh *chugs*
Stupid work is fucking me off, creepy boss touched my finger earlier and I wanted to stab him in his eye with the pen I was handing him. Other boss commanding me to do various things at once and mass confusion ensues and I hate being confused :(

Have an x-rated flirtini *passes*

*knocks back hard* gleeeeee.
I'm a proper lightweight, me.

I feel you on the work; I'm doing two people's jobs at the moment as my colleague is off sick and don't feel like I got anything done today since it took me all morning to clear my inbox of customer queries!

I would have stabbed your boss with the pen; seriously, if this keeps up, you need to go for him. I work with a bloke who kept cracking on to me over Facebook and asking if I liked to be spanked and now I blank him because it's the only way I don't get the urge to kill him ><

I work at a university
and it's extremely strange without the students, although I have to say I prefer it in the holidays. No queues for the canteen, for starters...

Tonight I am eating toast and awaiting Desperate Romantics on BBC2 in order to have a righteous perv on the dark haired one. Om nom nom.

*toasts all with imaginary wine*

It's quite strange
I'm going back in on Thursday as Mr Bin needs to go in then anyways and I'm going to get the classroom set up then.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 20:59, Reply)
I was living in halls this time last year
and I hated it. The campus was also full of God-botherers for some kind of Jesus festival thing, which made it twice as odd. I didn't like how empty it was.

An hour ago I realised I didn't mean it. I actually meant "I don't want to see you ever again and I'm not impressed by your flashy car. Drink up and leave." What was I thinking?

As long as he thinks friends means
ones who see each other sporadically and don't have sexy fun tiem, it's all good. Drink up!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 21:58, Reply)
I'm thirsty!
And yes, I think he realised there will be no sexy tiem... It's not his fault he's not right for me. I hardly spoke to him in all the time I knew him before we went out. I think I invented him a personality. Once we started conversing it was apparent it wouldn't work. He thought he was god's gift, bless. PEOPLE, ASK A LIST OF QUESTIONS BEFORE AGREEING TO A DATE! Saves time...

Hello all
I've just found out that I have 14 hour shifts tomorrow, thursday and friday. My next day off is sunday and that's looking shaky. Not a good day for me today I'm afraid. How's y'all?
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 21:55, Reply)
have a Mojito!
we're all getting virtually pissed.
it'll help...
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 21:57, Reply)
Ahhh, Mojito? Those are the rather tasty mint ones right?
I like them! I'm rather tempted to get un-virtualy pissed, but that might have to wait till sunday unfortunately....

yeah dude...
minty and limey and rummy and icey.
and as strong a feck.

(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:15, Reply)
Ahhhh, now we're talking!
I'll see you on the other side of an alcohol induced coma :D. How's life treating ya anyways?
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:18, Reply)
not bad at all, fella...
Gronzo and i got the unit cleared so now i have proper motorbike workshop space, back to biking this weekend after a 5 year (penalty induced) lay-off.
been down there this evening, making an aluminium bracket for the rear-hugger. really enjoyed myself tinkering away. the fact that we've cleared so much space (loads of stuff into a skip!) and sorted out shelving and proper lighting really makes a difference.
now it's clear of rubbish we can actually get at everything! and the place is now mahoosive! 11m long x 7.5m wide x 4.8m high! and all that for £115pcm. and it's a genuine "underneath the arches" subterranean place with a big heavy metal door. a bit like something out of "Saw"...
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:35, Reply)
Ahhh
Sounds cool! Looking forward to getting back to biking I take it? The amount of work you've done on that thing, should be perfect by now! I always like the creepy vibe that emptyish industrial units give off. I remember one place I worked was perfect for that. Especialy in autumn when the fog set in and the nights got longer. It was like something out of silent hill.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:38, Reply)
aww man, looking forward to it like you wouldn't believe!
5 years ago, whilst i wuz getting divorced, i was a bit of a naughty boy...
i had gone 17yrs without so much as a parking ticket (passed my test 2 months after my 17th birthday, after only 6 lessons, i'm 40 in september).
and then i got divorced... a long and expensive and traumatic experience.
and i got a wee bit carried away...on 2 occasions (1st time:average of 113.29mph over 3.8miles. 2nd time average of 116.55mph over 4.1miles)...on the bike...and got collared...and on the 2nd occasion my insurance had lapsed by 2 days...
i went to court and threw myself on the mercy of the magistrates. total of 17 points and £650 fine. and legal costs of £550. if it wasn't for the fact that my new partner was unemployed and was dependant on me then i would have got a 2 year ban. as it was the insurance on the bike went up from £210 fully comp to £1760 third party. which is why the bike has been off the road for 5 years! now that some of the points have gone it's come down to £280 fully comp.
saturday here we come!
and yes, i have truley learned my lesson!!!!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:54, Reply)
Ahh, well in some ways I guess it's lucky
that you got caught and fined as opposed to crashing. Much safer way to learn your lesson so to speak. Still, 5 years off the road must have been damn nasty! Especialy as I'm guessing you must have had to rely on public transport to get around. God knows public transport is making me think about getting a licence
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:58, Reply)
aah no achly...
i had to choose between insuring the bike or the van (which i need for work, i'm a self-employed plumber). the van insurance went up to nearly £1500...that was the price i had to pay for not getting a ban!
and yeah, the realisation i had afterwards about the possibility of crashing gave me fucking nightmares. quite rightly so!
and now i have responsibilities i didn't used to have, so i behave myself properly...can't be a good parent if i'm a squished on!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:05, Reply)
well at least you had the van
Though I guess it's for work so it's different. And yes, good that you didn't get squished by a juggernaut or whatever! And yeah I guess responsibilities do rather change your outlook on life. Anyway, I've got to get to bed nowish, Need some sleep for this week :D
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:26, Reply)
been nice chatting!
take it easy dude!
;-)
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:43, Reply)
That is unutterably crap.
Is it even legal?
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 21:57, Reply)
Nope. It's not legal.
But the alternative is that folks who can't make a cup of coffee unsupervised go without the rather desprately needed supervision and care and meds, which I reckon is probably rather less legal. Puts me in a tricky situation rather. I was going to rely on coffee mostly. :D
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:00, Reply)
Oh noes.
That makes it even worse somehow :( am always impressed by people who can do care work because I can't...
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:03, Reply)
It's a bit fucking tricky at times
Especialy when you're talking behavior. It becomes hard to get past the entire "I do every damn thing for you and you attack me?" thing. But well, It's a job eh?
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:07, Reply)
Ouch!

(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:01, Reply)
Yeah. Should'nt be too bad after this month
I should have a bit less pressure on me, more actual work and less actual training. Also, I might be getting agency staff to boss around and make me tea and such!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:10, Reply)
Utterly shattered
After a weekend in Bornemouth (airsofting was ace, now found a place in Epsom which does it in an underground tunnel complex, which sounds even more ace), followed by many hastily organised social things and an early morning docs appointment, and not likely to get proper sleep until at least sunday.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:10, Reply)
Airsofting? What is that?
And no sleep till sunday? Proplus may be your best friend this week!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:12, Reply)

Sort of like paintball, but with BB guns, and much more fun. It was my first time on Sunday, took a while to get used to it, but managed to get 3 confirmed kills on the last game by hiding in a dark part of one of the buildings. Would have had more if I hadn't tried to move, but it was that or get grenaded (one of the people I killed had spotted me, had a ton of grenades, and their team had infinite lives in that game).
Cant take much in the way of wake up stuff, on so much medication that I'm avoiding anything else out of self preservation, and caffeine gives me headaches if I have too much. Though the next couple days of no sleep are a 3 day LAN/party/bbq/games day/general hang out round a friends house, so definitely worth it
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:18, Reply)
That's what it is? Sounds interesting
Kind of like lazerquest stuff then.... Well, yeah, meds and caffene pills don't always work well at all, so that's probably for the best, and if you're doing plenty of social stuff, shouldn't be too bad :D
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:23, Reply)
Like laserquest of you go with a bunch of crazy millitary people
I swear we were the only people there not in full combats. And there was a huge variety of weaponry on show (including a foam katana with a moscart (a little thing that fires out a bunch of BBs when triggered) attached). There are also flashbangs, smoke grenades, and BB grenades.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:30, Reply)
Ha ha ha!
For some reason I'm getting a mental image of that episode of spaced when Tim and Mike go paintballing....
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:39, Reply)
It's not that bad
All the people there were pretty nice, and its mostly pretty fair (considering it was our first time going and we were a bit crap). The guy with the sniper rifle (easily an extra 5 meters of range on anyone else, and very good at hiding) was rather annoying though.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:47, Reply)
Ahh, so there are different kinds of guns and such?
Sounds pretty cool realy. I might check out something like that... Sounds like a lot of fun, and I did used to love lazerquest stuff.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:51, Reply)

As far as I can see, if it exists in the real world, someone probably sells an airsoft version. If it doesn't exist, someone has probably made one for themselves (the TF2 minigun, the GoW Lancer, a henry hoover modified to become a flamethrower (not seen any of these, but a friend has))
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 22:59, Reply)
How does a bb flamethrower work?
Does it like, spray bb's everywhere? I'm guessing it doesn't actualy fire real flames!
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:05, Reply)

By the sound of it, it just sprays everywhere. No real flames, the worst you have to contend with are thermobaric flashbangs (very loud, wasnt silly enough to look at one as it exploded, but saw a room light up orange from the outside when one went off.), On a side note my friend once used one of those on a couple in his uni accomondaton who were being a little too noisy with each other at 2 in the morning.
(, Tue 28 Jul 2009, 23:11, Reply)
