Very very much so. Am epically excited.
*hugs Spak* Countdown in Paris, good sir?

Haven't you heard?
They're going to launch the Eiffel Tower.
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 19:55, Reply)
How awesome is that?
We are so there. I've still not decided what I want to see or do and have managed to book a hotel in the strippers and sex shops end of Paris entirely by accident...

Sounds like you could probably get away with making up your trip as soon as you walk out the hotel.
Plus you'd get to see the Eiffel Tower fly by on your last day.

Well, I didn't realise until Pot looked it up on Google Street View.
I was too busy being a French student and thinking Montmartre = Amélie and Sacré-Coeur, plus pretty easy to get to and from Gare du Nord on the metro. Now I'm all excited again! *contemplates four-week sickie from work*

Mmmm ... four-week sickie ... glargh
unless it's Swine Flu
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 20:40, Reply)
I've already had a vaguely swine-flu-type thing
that my flatmate gave to me. I'm still a bit sniffly and coughed so hard last week I scared the boss...
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 20:44, Reply)
.
I wonder if it's possible to avoid swine-flu solely by being smug about knowing how un-panicked you are about the whole thing.
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 20:48, Reply)
I wasn't remotely concerned by it and so am not dead.
Should probably have had a couple of days off, though, since one of the girls I work with is pregnant...
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 20:49, Reply)
ZOMGpregg0rz!!!
If we're not careful, she could give birth to a pig!
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:01, Reply)
OH NOES!!!1
Now that would be interesting, since I'm the only woman in the office who doesn't think her pregnancy is fascinating...
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:03, Reply)
.
If you convince yourself she's giving birth to a pig, you could make it easier to pretend to be fascinated, and then you'd fit right in.
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:06, Reply)
I wouldn't mind
but before she got knocked up she had photos of her kittums. Now everyone wants to see the scan photos and only I want to see kittums!
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:11, Reply)
But I'm sure piglets will be cute too.

(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:13, Reply)
They do make adorable noises.
*feels better about all the annoying soppiness at work now*
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:16, Reply)
.
Also, if you want to create undue panic in your office, just make a set of piglet-sized sombreros for the piglets.

To the stationery cupboard
for origami purposes!
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:24, Reply)
I read that as "orgy purposes"
Needless to say, it wouldn't be stationery for long!
(, Mon 3 Aug 2009, 21:39, Reply)
No. No orgies.
Far too much multi-tasking involved.
