I've been working my little socks off over recent months and will be rewarded with a nice lump of cash soon - most of it will go on paying off the overdraft, but I've got a need to blow some of it on some booze and a nice gagdety-toy.
I'm half tempted to grab myself a PS3 (mainly for the Blu-Ray)... any thoughts?

Also bear in mind that you need to factor in the cost of some games too

Got a HDTV and it would be mainly used for movies, but I'm thinking I'd get very addicted to Time Crisis (again!) and something race-y?

My eldest bought LBP. I found him several days later malnourished and dehydrated sitting in a pool of his own waste, playing that game.

Do THEY have a PS3? If not you may find it appropriated. Especially if it keeps them quiet and makes wifeys life easier.
Upgrade your PC.

My god I might never leave the house again.
Resistance 2 is THE SHIT online! Fucking excellent. (Team deathmatch with 60 people is absolutely brilliant)
Argos = PS3 + Resistance 2 + Infamous + Motorstorm Pacific Rift for £313 just now.
