I had an email in my junk folder today
No sniggering at the back.

I decided to take a look as it was from my bank - I knew it wasn't from them and clearly it was a scam, however...I was feeling nosey so I opened it up. It told me I needed to confirm all my internet banking settings - the usual stuff. I hovered my mouse over the continue button to check the URL then in another window I went to the host site...
it belongs to a magician...and the bit of his site that is the fake bank page is addressed WAGES.

How pathetically poor is that for a scam?

He must be a crap magician.

I can't be arsed to think of a question for you, just wanted to share. Make up your own question.

No a magician in Berkshire
I'd love to post all the details up here but I'm a little worried that it could backfire on me.

the problem with these things
is that they hack into a webhost and hide the site on someone's domain without them knowing.

That's what had occurred to me
maybe he doesn't know that there's a page on his site that's doing this...

Any suggestions of what I should do? It seems wrong to just let it go.

You could do a
WHOIS query and email the domain owner.

I've contacted the bank in question - the HSBC
and sent the email to their Phishing branch.

I wonder if it's staffed by lots of little gnomes with phishing rods?
