As everyone in the real world knows
the average Microsoft certification is worth fuck all. Does the same apply to ITIL and PRINCE2?

PRINCE2
...garners groans from anyone who hears it (including me). This has been true for the last 3 jobs I've had.

I think it was one of those "management think this would be a good idea" and then tried to make it fit the real world.

I'm in the real world, and I didn't know that...
Hmmm... perhaps I'm not in the real world then..? Is this The Matrix? Am... I... Neo??

Unlikely
that you are he.

For if you were, you too would groan at the sound of "PRINCE2".

They are both shite
And hence viewed in high regard by managers with more theoretical knowledge than actual experience. Either will look nice on your CV but as for applications in the real world, forget it. The problem I've found (with ITIL) is that not enough people know about it, so trying to implement anything using it as a basis often flounders.

MCSE helped my friend go from
11.5k job in crappy secondary school to 26k job in the same crappy secondary school simply because management think its awesome. The pisser for the rest of us,

the school liked him and paid for him to do it. whilst the rest of us suffered on our shit 11k wages.

Oh well I earn more than him now :P

PRINCE2
On your CV will at least get it read.
But in the current market you'll need more than that to get the actual interview.
