It's time for B3TA technical help. Yes that's right, I need some help off you cunts. I'm quite prepared to be grateful if you give me useful advice but I'm liable to be rude and abusive if you're a cunt. Which of course you are, or you wouldn't be on b3ta during the day.

So, my current problem, My DVD writer on the home 'puter is fucked so I've bought a new one, which I'm pretty sure is the same connection type as the old one.

So, given that I have got the right thing, do I need to uninstall the existing drive before I remove it and plug in the new one and install that, or do I just rip it out with scant regard for the feelings of my operating systems feelings.
