I'm a bit down
I just found out through my brother that the family dog was put down on friday, we'd had her for 12 years.

She was a black lab, and we got her only a few months after my Mum died, as it gave us all something to focus on.

I'm absolutely gutted. Not really anything else I can say.

Really Sorry
Came back to my parents to pick up the kids after a *very rare* night out - saw the family cat that is the same age as my youngest brother - she's 14 and is the best cat ever.

She looks like a feline pensioner - my Mum is having to take her to the vets this week to get her checked over as she's biting herself again.

I fear that 'Bourbon Biscuit the Cat' (aka 'Biscuit') is not long for this world - and will be gutted if she goes. My oldest gave her a hug and a kiss on her head and normally, she'd try and jump on your shoulders - but she just sat looking sorry for herself.

Family pets = one of the family.
