I'm going home!
So, my lease on my apartment is up in December, so January I am flying home to England for 6 months. My heart is here in Amercia, but I'm so dreadfully homesick and need to go home to remember who I am.
this is going to be the toughest thing I've ever had to do - give up my job, my life, everything.....but at the end of the day I have to do it.
And when I come home to America, I hope to be a lot happier than I was when I left.

Good for you.
I think that you need to come back to Blighty to, to use an Americanism, gain closure of your Mum's passing.

Once you've done that then I think you will be able to go back and stay there.
Are you going to be working here for those 6 months or just hanging about?

Good for you, I hope it works out
but can you not persuade your work to let you go on sabbatical, or something like that? I'm sure they would understand - rather than jack everything in and have to start completely afresh when you return? Especially given how difficult it might be to find a new job in the current economic climate and all that jazz...
