kinda tired, but well rested after sleeping like the dead last night.
been hard at it, getting loads of painting done at the house now that the plasterer has been and gone...
well, he still needs to skim the stairwell but the livingroom and kitchen and bathroom and 2 of the bedrooms are done!
another big step forward...
and you?

been working on it all week - the paint layers are really thick! it's going to take a week or two to dry properly methinks.
Sounds like a good bit of work!

i stick to emulsion and gloss.
i'm more autistic than artistic.
so what's this painting you've been working on? a naked self-portrait?

Except they stain my skin and fingernails!! I had to scrub my skin raw to get enough paint off for work, then paint my fingernails dark blue. It was the only colour I had that was strong enough to cover my multicoloured/stained fingernails.
It's actually a beach. It started out really bright and vibrant, but I spilt dark turps on it and it stained the colours - so I kept painting and it turned out really stormy instead. Really choppy surf, blue/black sky, grey-yellow sand. When the paint is dry I'll take a photo and post it.

but I suppose the presence of the stormyness could just be a product of spontaneity.

Poppet could design a paint-by-numbers thingy, which could be expanded, and b69 could do the painting.

I just paint. I don't think about it - not the design, colours - nothing. Just pick up the brush and easel and go. It's an emotional release for me - and the pieces aren't necessarily reflective of my mood at the time.

I can paint for a criteria - I just generally don't :P

fnaar fnaar etc.
the commision would involve blue and pink oil-paint and a rather large canvas...

You could still paint, scan it, reduce the number of colours in the image, get a program to turn the colour-boundries into lines and print a very large version of the image.

eg - this one I just finished is 50x50cm. Our scanner is only A4 size.
but it's a good idea I grant you.
